Ciments Français operates in Morocco through Ciments du Maroc with 3 cement plants in Agadir, Safi and Marrakech, 1 grinding center, 3 aggregates quarries and 23 concrete batching plants. Since the acquisition of Asmar in 1999, Ciments du Maroc (listed at the Casablanca Stock Exchange and set up in 1992 through the merger of Cimasfi and Ciments d’Agadir) has been the second largest cement manufacturer in Morocco and has become the first Moroccan ready-mixed concrete producer through controlled Betomar. At the beginning of 2011 the new cement plant in Ait Baha has begun its operations. The total investment of the new cement plant, with an annual production capacity of 2.0 Mt, has amounted to 280 million euros.Ciments du Maroc is planning to make an additional investment to build a wind-power plant for the production of electrical energy in order to supply its own plants.CEMENT PLANTS LOCATION
